UPDATED:
Nobody was able to identify this band, so here goes:
The Electric Boys were a great Swedish funk-metal combo that would find success in Europe, but barely make a splash in America. They slowly drifted from their roots, partly due to record company interference, to become more of a straight ahead metal band. Their debut album ["Funk-O-Metal Carpet Ride"] was released independently in Sweden and considered a funk-metal classic. However when the band signed a major label deal the album was re-released without much of the trademark funk, as producer Bob Rock went for a more commercial approach. The album made a dent in the Billboard Top #100, thanks in part to a reworked version of "All Lips N' Hips".
